Pokemon HOME ... is almost here

Happy Sunday here in May today. Now let's serve up some news on The Victory Road!

There's no place like Pokemon Home

At long last, Turtwig's suffering is over. (Scroll to the pic below if you've got no clue what I'm talking about)

A Pokémon Home update was announced last week, "arriving soon" with compatibility to link Pokémon Legends and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, along with the other games released on Switch (Let's Go, Sword/Shield and also GO).

To speak for every fan who's been waiting for this: it's about durn time, dadgumit.

There are a few other updates to mention, including the addition of a Pokédex for each game instead of just the National Dex. In another cool Dex twist, the National Dex in Home updates entries from PLA based on your completion of the PLA Dex based on your save data. In other words, if you haven't completed a Dex entry in PLA, the PLA Dex in Home won't show anything until you do.

In addition, Pokémon caught in PLA will arrive in Home in a "Strange Ball" due to the Pokéballs unique to that game that aren't in other titles. If you transfer them back, they'll be in their original pocket canister.

To celebrate the long-awaited (read: overdue) compatibility, if you deposit a Pokemon from PLA into Home, you will receive Rowlett, Cyndaquil and Oshawatt with max EVs as Mystery Gifts in the mobile version of Home. APPEASE US FOR YOUR TRADINESS, POKEMON!

That was the headline item this week, but there are a few other things we can't forget.
