The newest Pokémon... without a name
Plus, the latest Tera Raid info
Cooltrainer Ace back for the sequel. I'm the Yellow to your Red and Blue, the Crystal to your Gold and Silver. And dare I say... the Platinum to your Diamond and Pearl? Let's talk news.
Introducing...the 'mon with no name
If you hadn't heard, there's a new Pokémon anime in town. The new show, Horizons, kicked things off in style by revealing a brand-new Pokémon.
Sort of. We got this shot and that was about it:

This brand-new turtle Pokémon remained shrouded in mystery (how mysterious!) even after the official introduction by the Pokémon Company. Details are still pretty sketchy, but we know that the new Pokémon was hidden in Liko's (one of the new protagonists) pendant. It's also a pretty good bet this little dude is related to Terapagos, the Legendary revealed as part of the Scarlet & Violet DLC, Indigo Disk.

Here's what else Dexter scrounged up for us:
This Pokémon is small in stature and not particularly strong, but when push comes to shove, it can crystallize the energy in its body to form a protective shield. Apparently, it can also assume a dormant state when it feels that its life is in danger by pulling its head, limbs, and tail into its shell and making itself look like a jewel.
Its splendid aura is reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, but this Pokémon’s name and true nature are shrouded in mystery.
Stay tuned while we dig up more on the nameless turtle. Want to make a guess at what its name might be? Reply and we'll share it in next week's episode.
Tera Raid Updates: Typhlosion tactics + Blissey reruns

In case you missed out last weekend, 7-Star Typhlosion is back from Thursday, April 20, at 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.
I netted me one of these bad badgers (is Typhlosion a badger?) last weekend. It's ability is Flash Fire (so don't be bringing no fire to this firefight) and moves include: Eruption, Shadow Ball, Play Rough, Earthquake, and Sunny.
The prevailing tactic here is to go with Annihilape with Shell Bell. Turn 1, go with Screech and then spam the heck out of Rage Fist (which gets stronger every time you're hit). Credit to Anubis (Sibuna_Switch on Twitter) for this one.
If you're teaming up with a buddy on this one, I found great success using a water Pokémon that has Rain Dance to cancel out Sunny Day and weaken Eruption.
Fun Fact: This Typhlosion's size is ALWAYS set to extra-extra-extra small (the smallest one possible). You can have it evaluated in Mesa Goza to get that second mark along with the Mightiest Mark it comes with.

Blissey's back from April 21-23! If your in-game inventory is running as low on candy as my post-Easter basket, now's your chance to fill them coffers. Blissey's Tera Type is random and it IS possible that it will have a Hidden Ability.
This is a 5-Star raid, so they'll all clock in at level 75 with the following moves: Heal Pulse, Last Resort, Soft-Boiled & Seismic Toss. Most important, however are the increased amount of Tera Crystals and Exp. Candies they drop. Not to mention higher drop rates of Herba Mystica, which is used in sandwich making to increase shiny odds.
If this is your first time going at Blissey, Iron Hands is one of the go-to recommendations out there. One build I found suggests Close Combat, Belly Drum, Drain Punch & Wild Charge.
And here's a little secret: if you don't reconnect to the internet, you can continue to stretch this (or any other Raid event) out. Crystals respawn at midnight local time each day. But you didn't hear that from me...
Random encounters around the internet
You may have seen a pic floating around social media showing hundreds of rare Fusion Strike cards allegedly stolen by an employee. Here's the whole story from Polygon.
Pokémon Go's Community Day Classic this month will be Swinub on April 29, 2p.m. - 5p.m. local time.
