Kleavor, TCG Live & Lost Anime Episodes

The latest, greatest Pokémon news

Welcome to our over 70 new subscribers and May the Furret be with you. *Checks notes* …Let’s just move on.

Here’s this week’s rundown:

  • Kleavor debuts in Pokémon GO.

  • Pokémon TCG Live is officially launching in June.

  • Two “lost” Pokémon episode scripts from 2011 have been found.

The Kleavor cometh + other May GO news

Aragorn: You have my sword.
Legolas: And you have my bow
Kleavor: And my axe!

Sharpen up y’all, cuz Kleavor is coming to Pokemon GO in a special raid day this Saturday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. Kleavor will appear in three-star raids during this time and has increased shiny chances during the event.

If you’re killing for a Kleavor, don’t miss this event, because Scyther will still not be able to evolve into Kleavor in GO even after this debut.

In other GO news, Larvesta and Volcarona also debuted in the “Instinctive Hero” event running until Monday, May 8, 8 p.m. local time. Currently, it looks like they’ll only be available via 2,5, and 10 km eggs.

May 2023 Community Day: Fennekin will be featured for this month’s Community Day on Sunday, May 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. The charged attack if you evolve your Braixen to Delphox during the event or five hours after is Blast Burn.

Pokémon TCG Live has an official launch date

Houston, the Pokémon TCG Live is finally cleared for launch. Announced yesterday morning, the app will officially arrive out of beta on June 8. (You can download it now and play the beta version too).

To celebrate the launch, players will receive a unique global beta coin, deck box, and card sleeves if they long in between between May 2 at 10 a.m. PDT through June 6 at 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Need to migrate your account from Pokémon TCG Online? While the old app is coming down on June 5 at 9 a.m. PDT, “players can still migrate their accounts even after the servers have been shut down. There's currently no assigned cutoff date for migrating your account and collection.” However, they also say that “If you have unopened Pokémon TCG Online content, please make sure to open it ahead of the game’s sunsetting.”

Raiders of the lost episodes

It seems like every day the internet is uncovering more hidden Pokémon treasures. Hopefully nobody finds all the empty Repel bottles I tossed down that tunnel in Victory Road.

Scans of two cancelled scripts dating back to the Pokémon Black and White anime run in 2011 were found by Bulbagarden user Maku Atherton. After a fundraiser was started to purchase the scripts, the owner decided to release them for free.

You can check out a teaser clip from Team Rocket VS Team Plasma Part 1 & 2 below (which have also been translated to English).

According to Nintendo Life, the episodes were originally cancelled last-minute due to the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. They were set to air later but never did.
