Introducing the good boi Pokémon, Greavard
Plus, Zorua dropped the tricks on Niantic
Happy Halloween! Go easy on those rare candies tomorrow, y'all. We're also inside 20 days to ScarVi—who is getting hyped?
Introducing the goodest ghostie boy

In an adorable clip (with a slightly disturbing ending), Pokémon introducing the newest doggo of the Paldea region. GREAVARD is a pure ghost-type good boi that rests underground with only the candle on its head poking out.
However, be warned, according to the official description: Greavard will slowly and inadvertently absorb the life-force of those around it, so it’s best not to play with it too much. What’s more, it also has powerful jaws that can shatter bones. A single bite from Greavard can be grievous—so Trainers are advised to approach it with caution.
AND, if you're a name nerd like me, and wondering where the name "Greavard" comes from (aside from the obvious homage to "graveyard") check out this possible definition from YouTube commenter "Avery the Cuban-American":
Greaves + Briard = Greavard Greaves is the unmelted residue from making tallow, once widely used to make candles and in dog food. Briard is a French sheepdog. Similar to Spain's sheepdog the Catalan sheepdog
Niantic gets more tricks than treats with Zorua

Zorua officially made its debut to Pokémon GO this past week, appearing as a version of your buddy Pokémon on the world map similar to how ditto function.
Ironically, this trickster Pokémon caused some issues when Niantic first released it as part of Shuppet Spotlight Hour. Before Niantic fixed the fox, a bug caused Zorua to copy the height, CP and attacks of the buddy Pokémon it was mirroring. Those who caught these bugged Zoruas are unable to trade them, send them to Pokémon Home, or use them in PVP battles.
I can confirm Zorua is back and working as of October 29, so be sure to keep an eye out for them!
P.S. Don't forget to take advantage of 2x Candy for hatching, catching and transferring Pokémon, now through November 1, 10 a.m. local time.
