Get your Harvest on in Pokémon GO

Grab your overalls and pitchforks—it’s time to pick some Pumpkaboo. Beginning today (Oct. 12) at 10 a.m. through Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. local times, the Harvest Festival event is in full swing.

Smoliv, the Gen 9 olive Pokémon from Paldea, will make its debut in GO, alongside evolutions Dolliv and Arboliva. Showcases feature Smoliv, Pumpkaboo, or Gourgeist.

Wild Encounters: Bellsprout, Exeggcute, Sunkern, Wurmple, Combee, Cottonee, Petilil, and Pumpkaboo (all shiny unlocked).

Sewaddle, Flabébé (based on region), Bounsweet, and Smoliv are shiny locked.

Field Research Encounters: Burmy (Plant, Sand, and Trash Cloak forms), Pumpkaboo (shiny unlocked) and Smoliv.

Event Bonuses

• Mossy Lure Modules activated during the event will last for two hours.

• Mossy Lure Modules have a higher chance of attracting Pumpkaboo.

• Trainers will receive additional Pumpkaboo Candy for catching Pumpkaboo during the event.

October Community Day Overview

🎵 IT’S GOING DOWN, I’M CATCHING TIMBURR. 🎵 

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Anyways, if you hadn’t guessed it, October features Timburr, the Muscular Pokémon (wonder what Machoke has to say about THAT) for Community Day. The event runs Sunday, October 15, from 2-5:00 p.m. local time.

Featured Attack: Evolving Gurdurr into Conkeldurr up to 5 hours after the event gets you the Charged Attack, Brutal Swing.

Four-star Raids: After beating a four-star Raid Battle against Gurdurr, additional Timburr appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes (same shiny rates as any other encounter during the event).

Event Bonuses

• 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon.

• 2x Candy for catching Pokémon.

• 2x Candy for catching Pokémon.

• 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.

• Lure Modules activated during the event last for 3 hours.

• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for 3 hours.

• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of 2 for the day. (active from 2-10 p.m. local time.)

• Trades require 50% less Stardust. (active from 2-10 p.m. local time.)

Raid Reminder: Hisuian Decidueye Round 2

Don’t forget, Hisuian Decidueye is back for a second and final weekend, Thursday, October 12, at 5 p.m. PDT to Sunday, October 15, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Get your scarecrow bird before he’s gone!

Card of the Week

While not a full art card, Chien-Pao from the upcoming Paradox Rift Expansion is still looking prime. I’m also embarrassed to admit this is the first time I realized he doesn’t have TWO swords for fangs, just one that he’s bitten in half.
