Hey y'all and welcome back to another episode of The Victory Road to cure your Monday blues.
It's the Pewter City Museum but IRL & Virtual
You won't want to miss this virtual tour and it doesn't even cost $50 for a child's ticket like that ripoff Pewter City Science Museum scammed me out of in Pokémon Yellow.
Teaming up with the Toyohashi Museum of Natural History, The Pokémon Company just announced the Pokémon Fossil Museum. And you don't even need to buy a plane ticket to Japan to check it out. The whole place is virtual so you can explore the exhibit from the comfort of your couch.
The exhibit was created to teach children about fossils and dinosaurs (just keep them away from the crazy fossil lady in Sword/Shield). Nothing is confirmed, but the exhibit may or may not continue its tour after November so don't wait.
Even if you can't read Japanese, there's plenty of cool eye candy inside. Here's a screenshot from my visit:
Pokémon UNITE celebrating 1 year of brawling
Bust out the smash cake! Pokémon UNITE, the strategic Pokémon team battle game, is turning uno this Thursday, July 21. To celebrate, several exciting updates and events were announced, including new Pokémon like Glaceon, Buzzwole and Tyranitar with three more to be announced in September.
Other celebrations include an Anniversary Cake Challenge, and a brand new Boss Rush quick-battle event. Boss Rush is available three different times during the anniversary celebration:
July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT to July 24, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
July 31, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to August 7, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
August 14, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to August 21, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
Moar N64 goodness: Pokémon Puzzle League
If the OG Pokemon Snap wasn't enough to entice you, the N64 Pokémon predecessor to Candy Crush is now available in the Nintendo Switch Online library.
According to the official announcement, "Pokémon Puzzle League is a fast-paced block-matching game where you must clear your screen of colored squares by arranging them to form matching rows or columns of three or more." AND it supports 1-4 players!
Puzzle League is available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers ($3.99 per month or $49.99 per year).
